As you will be aware, the Government has permitted pubs, clubs and restaurants to re-open from this coming Saturday, 4th July. However, the Langham Club will be taking a bit longer to get ready. Following on from a meeting of our Committee, we have agreed to re-open on Friday, 28th August, in time for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

We appreciate that some Members are eager to come back through our doors as soon as possible. However, we have carefully considered what we to believe is right for the Club and all its Members in agreeing to wait a little while before we re-open.

Rest assured that if we believe that it is viable for us to open earlier than the above date, we will try to do so. We are also aware that Members have paid for a full year of subs but will effectively be unable to access the Club for almost half of the year. Please rest assured that we are working to reach an arrangement that is fair for our Members to reflect this.

The good news is that we are also using the time that we are closed to make a number of improvements to the Langham Club! Here are some of the things we’re doing to spruce up the place:

  • Leveling the top bar floor and completely replacing the carpet – at long last!
  • Painting the walls throughout the club and updating the snooker room
  • Disposing of our tired old furniture in the top bar
  • Making general updates and repairs throughout the Club
  • Upgrading to high-speed fibre-optic broadband internet and wi-fi
  • Exploring the potential introduction of debit and credit card payments

We will also be preparing a big promotion strategy across our website and social media channels ahead of re-opening, along with other physical promotion activities in the local area.

We know it’s frustrating to have to wait a little bit longer to come back to your Club but we guarantee that it will be worth the wait. We are doing everything we can to make sure that the Club is on a sound financial footing and is in great nick ready to welcome everybody back as soon as possible.

For any questions, please use the messaging form on this website, or feel free to e-mail us using the address on our homepage.

Thank you and please stay tuned for further updates.
